Hi to all our great District 11 members,

I hope that the end of summer is finding you fully rested for the coming school year. Thanks to those who sent me information to share with MAEA Council members at the July 2008 meeting at TanTarA.  What a wonderful place for our Spring Conference. 

My first Council meeting left me somewhat overwhelmed and yet impressed by the hard work and dedication by so many of our members.  Our officers, conference managers, committee members, and District representatives, many of whom have been serving our organization for many years.  WOW!!! 

I would like to hold an informal workshop on recycled projects in September 2008.

We are really being encouraged to particitpate in the YAM program.  Every district needs to be represented.  How about having a YAM workshop/party in January and send our works in as a district.  The deadline for YAM works is February 1, 2009. 

At the time of the Council meeting in July, Missouri was ranked 4th in the nation with 905 members. 

Fall Conference will be held at Knob Noster campgrounds, October 3 & 4.

Spring Conference will be held at TanTarA resort, March 26-28.
